The St. Edward’s University Police Department has obtained a warrant for the arrest of the man suspected of an on-campus burglary.

Rocklyn Harris, 48, is also suspected in connection with a burglary at the University of Texas at Austin.

Police are witholding further information about Harris at this time.

Harris allegedly entered Ladybird Johnson Hall April 10 through a malfunctioning door. He had tried to open several other doors on campus, but failed, according to UPD Chief Rudolph Rendon.

“He was looking for an open door,” Rendon said.

The suspect did not take any items and fled the scene after an encounter with a student. Based on earlier reports, he is described as being between 5-feet-10 and 6-feet tall.
