1. BARTON SPRINGS 

This is arguably one of Austin’s most recognized swimming locations. With constant 68-degree water, Barton Springs is the best place to fight the summer sun.

2. HAMILTON POOL 

A good place for swimming, picnics, hiking and scenery, Hamilton Pool boasts a 50-foot waterfall that flows constantly, even if there’s a drought  in the region.

3. GREENBELT

If you’re not willing to venture out, Stacy Pool is only minutes from campus by foot. This conveniently located lap pool is even lifeguard supervised.

7. VOLENTE BEACH WATER PARK

If you’re not traveling near any coasts, Volente Beach provides the sand and water you need to get the same effect. Conveniently, the marina also has boat rentals and a variety of restaurants.

8. DEEP EDDY POOL

As the oldest swimming pool in Austin, Deep Eddy Pool is a great to swim and picnic. It offers Splash Party Movie Nights in the summer where you can swim and watch a featured film.

9. BLUE HOLE 

Located in Wimberly, this spot is one of the best natural swimming holes in Texas. The surrounding 126 acres of forests makes this place a scenic adventure.
