The Ruse plays Zone Perfect event
Every year, people from all around the globe flock to Austin for a week of emerging musicians, film premieres and celebrity sightings. South by Southwest is one of the largest film and music festivals in the world, sticking to its Austin roots by showcasing primarily the Indie genre. One SXSW showcase that stood out among others was the performance of The Ruse, a band based in Los Angeles. With their indie rock sound and high energy, they drew in a great crowd on Saturday afternoon at the Live.Create. Lounge on E. Fifth Street. Sponsored by Zone Perfect, the event offered complimentary drinks and Zone Perfect nutrition bars to attendees. The band put on an amazing, captivating show, although it was a small venue. Some of their hits include “Beautiful is Gone,” “Perfect World” and “I Can’t Stop.” They were promoting their newest album, “Love Sex Confusion,” released March 23.
