“Piecing It Together”: Latinx Graffiti Exhibit
From Jan. 24 to Mar. 28, the Austin community can experience the “Piecing It Together” graffiti exhibit and participate in different artistic activities. Hosted at the Mexican American Cultural Center, the exhibit features art that focuses on Latinx culture and the first three generations of graffiti art in Austin. Participants can create their own graffiti art, make pins, t-shirts and learn about ancient traditions.
The spray painted mural at the exhibit's main entrance was made by the first class of 'Caminos,' a Latinx teenage leadership internship that allows Austin high schoolers to collaborate on local projects.
