Early voting begins today, free rides to polls
Election Day is quickly approaching and registered voters can get ahead by casting their vote early today with free rides to the polls provided by Capital Metro.
Early voting begins from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. starting Oct. 24 and ending Nov. 4.
All Capital Metro buses and transportation services are free on Oct. 24, according to the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority. This includes all MetroBus, MetroRapid, MetroExpress, MetroRail and MetroAccess services.
St. Edward’s students and faculty registered to vote in Travis County can vote at the following nearby locations:
Southpark Meadows, 9600 IH-35 South
Gardner/Betts Annex, 2501 S. Congress
Randalls Ben White and Manchaca, 2025 W. Ben White Blvd.

Registered voters can vote with a voter registration card, driver’s license or any government-issued photo ID. For a complete list of ID requirements, visit www.votetexas.gov/faq/early-voting
Free rides will also be offered by Capital Metro on Election Day Nov. 8.
Capital Metro bus stops can be found at both the South Congress and Woodward entrances of St. Edward’s University.
