Day in the Life of Layne Broihier

Wearing No. 20 on the pitch, sophomore Layne Broihier is a midfielder on the St. Edward’s University men’s soccer team.

Broihier developed a passion for soccer during his childhood in Harker Heights, Texas, where he was born and raised.

He grew up watching his older brother play soccer, and in an effort to be like him, Broihier also began playing.

Off the field, he enjoys spending time on the computer playing games.

Broihier is pursuing a business administration degree, but like many of his peers, he is not quite sure what he wants to do for a living.

Coaching a soccer team is one possible career option he’s considering.

Mondays are Broihier’s busiest days, and he admits that the only thing that gets him through is a good ol’ cup of coffee.
