The infamous Zodiac was a serial killer from the 1960s and 1970s that operated in northern California and was responsible for at least five murders. He taunted the police via letters and postcards sent to news organizations, signing them with complicated symbols and codes. The case to identify the murderer was never solved, until now.

People have theorized that maybe, just maybe, the sad-but-still-smiling aardvark of a former presidential candidate Ted Cruz is indeed the Zodiac Killer. Here’s a list proving this to be true.

1. His first name isn’t even Ted.

The Canadian-born junior Senator from Texas is actually name Rafael. What does this mean? It means he’s a liar. Who knows what else Cruz has been lying about? Probably murdering five people in San Francisco in the ‘60s.

2. Why does he look uncomfortable 98% of the time? Because he’s probably hiding something, that’s why.

Cruz looks scared almost all the time, as if he sees ghosts or something. Ghosts of those people he killed. Why are his hands in his pockets? Because they’re stained with the blood of his enemies because he’s a murderer.

3. He never actually denied being the Zodiac Killer.

It’s not like he doesn’t know that people are figuring it out. He has a voice loud enough for everyone to hear and he denied being Duke’s basketball player Grayson Allen, so why hasn’t he addressed this very serious accusation of him being an alleged serial killer? He’s basically saying “no comment,” and we all know that means he’s most definitely guilty.

4. If you squint really really hard, he looks just like the Zodiac Killer drawing.

The nose, the closeness of the eyes, the forehead wrinkles: it all matches up. Once you squint hard enough until your brain starts to throb a little bit, the similarities between the two are uncanny.

5. There’s a Facebook and a Twitter page blatantly stating that Cruz is indeed the Zodiac.

And we all know that social media always tells the truth, even if we don’t want it to. Cruz’s birth certificate might have suggested that Cruz can’t be the killer because of his birth year, but Twitter says otherwise.

Maybe it’s absurd and maybe you don’t believe me. Believe what you will, but have you ever seen Cruz and the Zodiac in the same room? Makes you think.
