Neon Indian
Neon Indian’s lead singer, Alan Palomo and his band mates ran a few sound checks before they performed. Everyone was pushing to the front anxiously waiting for the set. I luckily managed to find a spot in the front and experience their set up close. This was my first time seeing their show and it was remarkably amazing. Even security was jamming to the music.
Neon Indian’s new album dropped just last month so the band was excited to play new songs like “Annie,” “Slumlord” and “The Glitzy Hive.” The new album cover of “VEGA Intl. Night School” has an image of Palomo and the words “Night School” in LED lights with a red backdrop. The set of Neon Indian identically matched the image of the new album, making the album image come to life.
I would describe his performance as groovy with a 90’s vibe — a mix never seen before, which is why the show was unforgettable.
Neon Indian left the crowd wanting more with their last song, “Polish Girl,” executed perfectly. Fan or not, I highly recommend seeing Neon Indian.
