Brady dominates the game, Pats favored to win the Super Bowl

The Patriots lead the New York Jets by three games.

As we near the midpoint for the NFL season, several teams are looking strong.  However, none of them look strong as the New England Patriots. The Patriots should be the favorite to win the Super Bowl this season.

The undefeated Patriots look to be on a mission, especially quarterback Tom Brady. After a turbulent off-season, and dealing with “Deflategate” scaring a Super Bowl winning offseason, the star of the league has a chip on his shoulder. Through the first eight weeks of the season, Brady looks like he’s out for revenge.

The Patriots will easily go on to win their division, as they currently lead the New York Jets by three games. To be fair, the AFC East is not much of a competition. The Patriots have absolutely dominated it for the past 15 years.

The other big competition standing in front of the Patriots in the AFC is the Denver Broncos. While longtime rival Peyton Manning has his team at 7-0 this season, he’s been too unpredictable to continue this winning streak.

In the NFC, the two-time defending conference champion Seattle Seahawks are struggling. A sluggish 4-4 record and a third place rank in their division makes even the strongest supporter of the team a bit nervous.

Seattle will need to start turning things around to make a third straight Super Bowl appearance.

However, the Green Bay Packers will likely provide the largest competition in the NFC, as they recently lost their first game of the season on Sunday to Denver.

Some have already said the Patriots look reminiscent of their record breaking 2007 season, where Brady led the team to a perfect 16-0 regular season. However, they suffered one loss to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

It’s crazy to already predict a perfect season for the Patriots, but it’s not surprising. There is some unfinished business in Brady’s mind. But that business isn’t from the 2007 season, it’s from this past season.

If the Patriots go all the way this year, there is only one person in the world to thank: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell only lit a fire under Brady after their court battle over the summer. While Brady won the first battle in court, Goodell appealed.
