Toro y Moi
I have been a fan of Toro Y Moi since his 2013 album, “Anything in Return,” and I finally found my chance to see his concert.
Just last April, his “What For” album dropped, switching up his style once again with a rock and roll vibe. Because of the variety of genres between his albums, his concert was stunningly sensational.
Toro Y Moi — real name Chaz Bundick — usually leans toward funk and disco type of music, as featured in his pervious albums.
Bundick began his concert with new songs, saving his older, more well-known songs for the end, which made the crowd go wild.
The crowd was not as intense as other crowds, since Toro Y Moi is a chill band. If you go to one of his shows, you won’t find people jumping or crowd surfing, unless they are all die hard Toro fans.
Interestingly enough, the stage was set up in a way where all the band mates perfectly shared the stage. Bundick was not centered like most lead singers; he was placed on the far left, letting the bass player have center stage.
Bundick’s voice matched all songs impeccably along with the tunes. Their last song, “So Many Details,” left me with my jaw dropped, but I was not the only one.
