Father John Misty had the best stage presence (and beard, except for Drake) of anyone I saw at ACL, which is not surprising if you know anything about him.

His Twitter is a glimpse into his sarcastic and vibrant personality that he definitely shows during his performances. He began the set with ballad, “I Love You, Honeybear” then amped up energy with more fast-paced songs.

The crowd was instantly excited when he announced the song, “Bored In The USA,” as a sarcastic meta ballad about despair. The crowd sang along to the whole song and seemed to enjoy this song the most because the lyrics really resonate with millennial life.

He ended his set with “Hollywood Forever Cemetery” and “The Ideal Husband.” Overall, Father John Misty’s performance was great and left the crowd wanting more.
