Volleyball coach fired after contract review
The head coach of St. Edward’s University’s NCAA volleyball team has been fired.
Sean Donahue, former volleyball head coach, is no longer employed by the university. His termination was effective April 15, Director of Athletics Debbie Taylor said.
“Every year, we conduct a year-end review with all of our coaches,” Taylor said. “We decided it was time to make a change in leadership for our volleyball program.”
Athletics has begun a nationwide search for a new head coach.
“Our goal is to have someone in place by mid-July,” Taylor said.
Assistant Head Coach Brenda Winkeler will be the point of contact for the volleyball team until a new head coach is hired.
