American Horror Story, Lady Gaga match made in heaven
After a boring and confusing season of “American Horror Story”, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, surprised fans by announcing that Lady Gaga will be featured in the series’ next season, “American Horror Story: Hotel”.
Gaga tweeted “Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel.” In a video, Gaga wears a creepy black top/mask and says “American Horror Story season five, hotel” in a very dramatic manner.
Gaga fans were ecstatic about this announcement. The talented singer has proved that she fits the creepy and gory vibe on the show with her numerous weird and interesting performances, songs and outfits.
“American Horror Story: Freakshow” was filled with strange and often unnecessary musical numbers that were either a hit or miss, and were always performed by actors, including Jessica Lange and Evan Peters. With Gaga, this next season will probably have multiple performances. Since Gaga is an actual singer, her musical numbers will most likely be pretty amazing.
Murphy has had multiple musicians on the show with small roles including Adam Levine in “American Horror Story: Asylum” and Stevie Nicks in “American Horror Story: Coven.” However, these musicians never had big roles, but Gaga is rumored to be one of the show’s main actors.
Gaga is probably replacing the show’s incredible long-time leading lady, Jessica Lange, since she has confirmed that she will not be returning for season five. This might lead other big stars to leave the show, such as Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett.
Yet, so far Gaga is the only listed cast member of this next season. With Lange leaving, the show is going to need something big to bring in viewers and keep fans attentive, which is exactly why Gaga is there.
She’s not even an actress, and her acting could possibly be terrible, but Murphy will probably do anything at this point to keep fans returning after the horrible mess that was “American Horror Story: Freakshow”.
With or without Gaga, fans can count on Murphy to make this next season weird, even if “American Horror Story: Hotel” sounds extremely boring.
Hopefully, this next season will have a decent plot structure and will bring “American Horror Story” back to its original glory. Murphy will most likely come out with promotional photos or previews between now and October, so fans will always be on their toes.
