City and Colour is the acoustic incarnation of Dallas Green, a Canadian. Reasons to listen and to go sandwich a City and Colour set in between Ginuwine and Dinosaur Jr. on Fun Fun Fun Fest Friday are varied and many.

Most of all is Green’s breadth of talent as a musician. Anybody who knows Green’s last musical project or is able to Google Alexisonfire will be amazed by his range and versatility. Whereas City and Colour specializes in acoustic, soulful folk, Green’s last band made their mark in the post-hardcore business.

Now on the fourth solo album for City and Colour, Dallas Green’s dramatic genre leap from heavy guitars and some screaming to the softer, stripped down side of the acoustic singer/songwriter is impressive by most accounts.
