New Netflix original series will leave you ‘horse’ from laughing so hard

“Bojack Horseman” is a Netflix original series that stars Will Arnett, Aaron Paul, Alison Brie, Amy Sedaris and Paul F. Tompkins. It takes place in Los Angeles, but in a universe where animals and humans live modern lifestyles together.

The show was released in August.

On the show, Bojack is an actor that was the star of a hit TV show in the ‘90s called “Horsin’ Around.” Now, he lives in a giant house and goes about the life of someone in Hollywood that hit stardom too early and doesn’t know what to do next.

The show is basically a satirical view of what it’s like to have a celebrity breakdown. Bojack has a familiar routine of only paying attention to himself and becoming upset because he feels alone, which is all the time. Since he has so much money from his glory years, he is just a washed up star that screws up over and over again.

The show is cynical, inappropriate, a tad childish and stupid, but that’s what makes it hilarious. It’s not like “Family Guy,” where the jokes can go too far and become crude or insulting. It has corny jokes and fantastic lines that can make you laugh out loud. Many of the jokes are about animals, which sounds silly (and it is), but it’s pretty funny when Bojack calls his feline agent “catty.”

“Bojack Horseman” also has a storyline that it follows. Most cartoons don’t have a story line; they just repeat previous characters and come up with different comical situations that relate to the show. Cartoons like these end up having problems that are never resolved or instances that are never brought up after the episode.

However, “Bojack Horseman” makes storylines and cartoons work together. This makes the viewer laugh at Bojack, but at the same time they want to know what Bojack is going to do next.

Will he ever finish his book? Will he become popular again? The viewer has to keep watching to find out.

This show is original, snarky and genius. If you ever want a quick laugh, or you want to binge watch a show, “Bojack Horseman” is perfect in every aspect.
