Fans of the Republic Records artist and Texas native packed the house for SoMo’s SXSW showcase at 512 Bar. Performing his own renditions of popular hits along with his debut single “Ride,” SoMo’s enticing tunes had everyone singing along.
With its sultry sound and his alluring falsetto, “Ride” was making all the girls swoon. The song creates a blend of Pop and R&B that not only gives it crossover ability, but also makes it irresistible. The chorus is simply contagious and will have you singing all day, despite its suggestive lyrics.
SoMo’s smooth sound was a perfect fit for the 512 Bar. The dim lighting and intimate setting transformed the showcase into a serenade. It was as if people felt he was singing directly to them, which contributes to SoMo’s undeniable appeal to the female fan base. Women were standing on chairs and even sitting atop friends’ shoulders just to get a glimpse of him.
SoMo’s talent is truly undeniable. His abilities as a lyricist, vocalist and performer make him an R&B powerhouse.
The combination of 512’s intimate atmosphere and SoMo’s memorable melodies made for a great experience. The bar’s eclectic ambiance contributed to the overall R&B vibe, creating an immersive experience.
