Fun Fun Fun Fest: Touche Amore rocks Black Stage
Los Angeles-based Touché Amoré was one of the busiest bands at Fun Fun Fun Fest this year. The post-hardcore five-piece played two shows outside of the festival grounds—one at Red 7 on Friday night as a part of Fun Fun Fun Fest’s FFF Nites and one on Saturday night on the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge—and one show at the festival in the middle of the day on Saturday.
Their day show on Saturday was one of the best performances on the Black Stage all weekend. Lead singer Jeremy Bolm’s gravelly yell led the crowd to start a rambunctious circle pit that kicked up a huge dust cloud and encompassed the entire crowd and stage.
Fans kicked, punched and hardcore two-stepped all around the circle pit, and the braver fans used their friends as springboards, running and jumping onto them in attempts to reach the stage. Bolm added to the crazy antics himself, scaling the side stage and swinging from the rafters.
