Freshman Haley Meekins was captain of her high school basketball team in Bridgeport, Texas and is now a player with promise on St. Edward’s women’s basketball team.

Meekins, an undecided major, chose St. Edward’s after she visited the campus and watched a women’s basketball practice.

“I knew right away this is where I wanted to be,” Meekins said.

Although Meekins is only a freshman, Head Coach Jennifer White and her fellow teammates have already recognized her as a hard worker.
