Zemira is a junior and this is her second year being a Staff Writer for Hilltop Views. She is a political science major with a concentration in pre-law studies and American politics. When she’s not writing or doing schoolwork, her favorite past times are reading and painting.

Redefining Me(n) and SEU Pride partner together to host associate professor of social work Adam McCormick, Ph.D., for a lecture on “Transformative Masculinity: a Trauma Informed Approach to Authenticity.” He explained to students both his personal and professional experiences with seeing how much causes for trauma are deeply rooted in unhealthy masculinity. His trauma-informed approach to masculinity guided students through discussions on traumas, adverse experiences, and having empathy around awareness.
